About the presenters
Carolyn Clark
Carolyn Clark is the Vice President of Corporate Marketing & Internal Communications at Simpplr, a modern intranet platform. A seasoned leader, with deep roots in employee communications and employee experience, Carolyn joined to help Simpplr elevate the employee experience by driving innovation and reimagining how employee communication is delivered in today’s world.
Throughout her career, Clark has intentionally diversified her experience to all facets of communication. From producing broadcast news to consumer and product public relations, media relations and corporate communication. Before joining Simpplr, Clark led internal and HR communication at major tech companies including Yahoo, Oath (Verizon Media), Pandora, GoDaddy, and Opendoor. Clark has led countless transitions, navigated more crises than she can count, and shepherded thousands of employees through complex acquisitions and integrations. She has a passion for navigating difficult situations and an ability to drive employee experience strategy through complicated corporate issues.
Clark lives in North Carolina with her husband and energetic 10-year-old daughter.
Lee Ann Karr
Lee Ann joined Independence Pet Holdings in October 2021 and serves as the Chief People Officer. In her role, Lee Ann oversees the company’s employee experience, talent acquisition, total rewards, learning & development, diversity, equity, and inclusion and belonging teams.
Lee Ann previously served as Senior Director of Human Resources at GoDaddy, Inc. and brings 18+ years of experience in human resources at top companies, including Charles Schwab and Honeywell.
Lee Ann holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Miami University. Lee Ann also has an MBA from Vanderbilt University – Owen Graduate School of Management, specializing in Human and Organizational Performance & Strategy. In addition to her formal education, Lee Ann is an Insights Discovery Client Practitioner, and is ITIL, Lean IT Foundation and Six Sigma Greenbelt Certified.
Lee Ann is based in Scottsdale, AZ and enjoys spending time with her husband Will and her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Henry.
Emily Feliciano
I’m a passionate leader who transforms IT organizations utilizing a user-centric approach and embracing new technologies to drive productivity. I’m also a mother to two beautiful children who I absolutely adore and want them to experience as much of the world as possible. I’m fortunate to have an incredible and supportive husband, who is also an amazing father and Pilot. When there is free time, I can be found hiking in the summer and snowboarding in the winter.
